Princesses, Princes, Kings and Queens from across the region will gather at a Hull-based nursery this week, in honour of Children in Need.
Little Learners Nursery, on Victoria Dock, which is owned by Sewell Group, will hold a Royal Day on Friday 20 November to celebrate this year’s national charity event, with the children adorning regal attire for the occasion.
The children have been busy collecting sponsorship from their parents to take part in the nursery’s colouring challenge, with the hope that by the end of the day enough Pudsey’s will have been coloured, painted and cut out to stretch through the corridors and back into the nursery.
The Little Learners team will be getting involved with the day as well, dressing up in their Pudsey Bear t-shirts and displaying their baby photographs for parents to guess who’s who, for the chance of winning a Hamleys teddy and a bottle of wine.
The nursery has also been selling Children in Need branded Pudsey scratch cards throughout the week, in effort to give their fundraising an extra boost, with a prize of some Cadburys chocolate biscuit and a Pudsey bear up for grabs.
Becky Andew, acting nursery manager at Little Learners, said: “We’re keen to raise as much as we can for a good cause and everybody is eager to get involved.”
Graham Atkins, director of Sewell Education said: “It’s fantastic that we’re able to do something like this again in support of Children in Need, which is very close to all our hearts and a very worthy cause”.
