Little Learners held its traditional nativity play on Tuesday 21 December at Victoria Dock Village Hall, with the nursery’s 3-5 year old children acting out the story, in costumes provided by Little Learners.
Parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles all attended the play, which has been an ever-popular highlight in the Little Learners calendar for a number of years.
After the nativity finished, guests were invited to join Little Learners for mince pies and yule log, as part of the nursery’s Christmas celebrations. The celebrations continued on Wednesday 22 December, as the nursery hosted its Christmas party, with a puppet show and a visit from Father Christmas.
Rachel Gouldson, nursery manager, said: “Every year, the nativity proves to be a very popular day, both with the children and the parents and family members who look forward to it every Christmas.
"It is an important part of our year, not only to celebrate Christmas, but also for the additional benefits that the nativity has for the nursery. It brings the community together and the children are able to develop their confidence, speaking and teamwork skills, whilst enjoying taking part in a fun production alongside their friends and in front of their family."
